trader joe's

Do you remember the first time you shopped at Trader Joe's? I do. It was this morning. And even though I know I'm late to the party, I am so, so excited about this place.

I sure hear a lot about this place. I've never been. I don't think I've ever even seen one.

Daron and I used to shop at one right around the corner from our house in California the first two years we were married. We found it so wonderful-I espcially thought the peanut butter filled pretzels were amazing! We also found it peculiar to have wine right in the store...now that is more common, except for MN, I guess-right? But it is good, cheap wine! Not that I have much of it! ;)
This brings to mind another story about wine and my birth, but I will save that for another time.

Hi Becca,
Marlene wanted me to tell you that my nephew Peter Holland is going to be transferring from the Trader Joe's in Chicago to become a manager at the one in Woodbury in Nov. I love Trader Joe's too....especially the English Toffee and Peanut Butter Cups. Oh, and the real food is good too! ;-)

BTW, I just LOVE your blog and read it all the time! I'm happy for you and Rory during this wonderful season in your life. But as I read your blog it seems that each season becomes wonderful the way because you seem to celebrate life with such flair and purpose.

When I was a kid my parents would go to Trader Joe's for liquor. I lived in California so we had Trader Joe's for YEARS before it ever came to MN. I had no idea you could buy other things there until I was an adult! Now, it's one of my favorite stores and their flowers are some of the best, and cheapest, around.

I love their dried fruit and cheap wine! I don't think Eau Claire has one yet so my visits are few and far between. Maybe we can venture there once we start our monthly visits!

I love that you've gotten so many comments about Trader Joe's! I am a huge fan. I actually just did a show in northern Missouri and brought a whole cooler of Trader Joe's with me so I wouldn't be stuck eating what they sold in that area (fast food and overpriced conventional food with low nutritional content).

Look at you! Seven - now 8! - comments on one blog post! Who-eee - fancy pants! I'm only slightly jealous... ;)

LOVE TRADER JOE'S! Just wish there were one closer to us in the south metro, but I'm sure someday soon they will spread.

Becca - I have so enjoyed reading your blog and even more excited to read this morning about the baby Ivar being born...how exciting!! Have to tell you that my son, Peter, has been transferred to the Trader Joes in Woodbury, so if you shop there, be sure to look for him and introduce yourself. We're excited they moved here this week and that our first grandbaby will be born in MN!! Can't wait to see more pictures of Ivar. Congratulations!!!
